There will be no Oceanside Open in 2026 due to the closure of Cape Lookout State Park! 2025 was a fun event. There was flying to be had Thursday through Sunday. There was a good window for full size paragliders until early afternoon followed by an afternoon of hang gliders and mini wings. safety link
Due to changes in our insurance requirements, we cannot allow unrated temporary USHPA members at this event. FOREIGN pilots with equivalent ratings can be given a temporary membership at the discression of the event director. The event headquarters will be at the Oceanside Community Center.
